LOVE For A Good Book!

“There are books that are suitable for a million people, others for only a hundred. There are even remedies—I mean books—that were written for one person only…A book is both medic and medicine at once. It makes a diagnosis as well as offering therapy. Putting the right novels to the appropriate ailments: that’s how I sell books.”

Exquisite, simply exquisite. This read is like no other. Nina George is a lyrical writer whose prose is beautiful, sensual, and filled with such sensory language one is whisked away into the moving narrative. I could not put the book down for more than an hour. I disliked every moment I had to stop reading. Check out Barnes and Noble for this book and more.

"A story that reflects all the romance and sweetness of Paris itself."

BOOM! Crackle and Then Silence

Raymond loved driving his truck. Ever since he was a boy, he wanted to be like his dad. In third grade, he did a report on his dad being a coal truck driver and how he wanted to follow in his footsteps.

Today, sitting in the cab of a shale fracking water truck he was living a very profitable life with a schedule that fit his modern lifestyle. Being a gamer, he was home by eight and on the computer until mid-night. Sleeping until seven and out the door by seven thirty, he had his schedule down to a science.

With the invention of the smart phone and his love for new technology, he had learned to multi-task. Driving and texting was a matter of coordination and he was very good at it. He had one rule, no texting and driving over thirty-five miles per hour.

Texting and driving is never good at any speed and Raymond was about to find out. It was early one spring morning and they had been on this routine for several weeks now at the new drill site.

Rounding the top of  Saint Rose Hill and heading down Route 982 through the sleepy community of Loyalhanna, Ray opened his window for a breath of fresh air. He was also texting a friend about the game tonight when a bee buzzed through the window and got jammed in his ear.

Looking up from his phone he saw the huge rocks and sign, he had no time to pull back, BOOM! Crackle and then silence.

He slammed into the rocks and sign at seventy miles an hour his foot on the pedal full throttle. With the bee buzzing in his ear, he hit the gas instead of the break. Texting, hitting send. His life over, in just seconds.

The sign said:

Remember you can't control
what happens.
You can only control your
response.
In some cases, you can't control your response either.

Are you a YENTA?

If you do not know what a YENTA is look it up!

Never mind, here is the definition:

noun

1. yenta - (Yiddish) a woman who talks too much; a gossip unable to keep a secret; a woman who spreads rumors and scandal.

2. gossiper - a person given to gossiping and divulging personal information about others gossipmonger, newsmonger, rumormonger, rumourmonger, gossip communicator - a person who communicates with others.

3. catty chatter is a spiteful woman gossip; "what a cat she is!"

4. scandalmonger - a person who spreads malicious gossip blabbermouth, talebearer, taleteller, tattler, tattletale, telltale - someone who gossips indiscreetly.

Remember the GOLDEN RULE: "If you can't say something nice, do not say anything at all!"

Two things about a small town is large mouths and stupid minds who need to mind their own business. Really are you bored with your own life. How sad!

I live in "Mr. Rogers neighborhood" and you'd be hard pressed, heroin and gossip are killers here.
