The Lover Of My Soul

My Love Eternal

To you my love
my love eternal.

To a long journey
and safe travel.

May thy light be a guide
in dark nights of aloneness.

When I lost the love of my life this poem came to me in the middle of a thunderstorm as I sat in a ticket booth at an amusement park I worked at that summer.

Another gift from God just to let me know he is with me always.

He is risen.

Happy Easter!

Pushing Up Through Hard ground

Sometimes it is the small fragile tenacious flowers that break through the ground in early spring; even before the snow is melted away they pop through the surface of the frozen ground sending up strong green leaves shielding the tender flower stem and blossoms.  They are the heralds of the arrival of the change of the season.  I pray that this will be a peaceful season.  We all need rest, a time of refreshing, and space to breathe.  I hope this spring you will take the time to do something different...something fresh...something life affirming.  If you come up with a suggestion submit it to the comment section and I will post it.

A Few of My Favorite Writing Books

I Love to read.  I enjoy writing.  Here is a snapshot of my collection of writing books.  The jewel of the bunch is The Elements of Style by Strunk and E.B. White. A must have for every writer!

See this painting anywhere?

If you have seen this painting, please email me at farr.peggyjo57@gmail.com.  The artist did not receive payment for the painting nor had it returned when requested from the proprietor.

What can be said...

There are times when there is nothing that can be said.

There are no words to describe events or people.

Like a quiet storm; builds hatred within a woman wronged...mentally raped, stalked, kidnapped, terrorized, and stalked some more.

Her heart broken and no one cares for her, save God.  He knows her name and she His.

Do you know yourself well enough to face the truth?

Do you abuse people for sport at work or play?

Are you prepared to face God?  What you do to others matters.

When you screw up someone’s life...even just for the "fun of it"...you are accountable.

Pray for those who abuse you...it is a difficult prayer...but one that sometimes has to be said over and over again.

God's word says," He is the Alpha and the Omega." He is the beginning and the end.   He gets the last word!  Amen!

No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.

Response Poetry to a Work of Art: Sweetly Sleeping

Sweetly Sleeping
Sweet seamstress sleeping,
snoozing in the red chair.
Secretly dreaming of Spring,
seams slightly off...near perfection.
